Summer Murphy joined our team on June 3, 2024, as the Deputy Clerk and Tax Commissioner for the City of Sky Valley. Originally from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Summer always felt a calling to the mountains. She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Robert, for 18 years, and they have two children. Although they lived in Tennessee and Florida for a few years due to work, they returned to the area in 2017 to stay.
A graduate of Georgia Southern University, Summer brings a diverse professional background, having worked as a personal trainer, substitute teacher, and bank teller. In her current role, she manages utility billing, permits, city taxes, and serves as the City Court Clerk. She is also currently pursuing her Clerk’s certification to further her service to the community.
Summer is known for her dedication, positive attitude, and commitment to helping residents. She is proud to work alongside such a professional team and looks forward to continuing to serve the City of Sky Valley.
